Healing Stones and Intention
In June of 2015 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Never does anyone want to hear those two words, but I was fortunate that it was found very early, had not spread and was "easily" treatable given the circumstances. I consider myself blessed in that regard and feel and express my gratitude on a daily basis.
Post surgery, however, I did come down with an infection in one incision site. Though i knew it was a fairly intense infection, I purposefully did not ask for any details. I truly didn't want or need to know anything more than it was present in my otherwise very healthy body and that the appropriate people were tending to it to help my body heal. I am a believer that the more energy we give to something, it nourishes growth ... good or bad.
Though the wound did require daily check in with the docs for care, I also tended to myself through Reiki self care, meditation, daily exercise and lots of sleep! However, one of my most treasured items during that time, and continues to be now, is my blue Angel lite healing stone. I went to our lovely local haven, The Stone Store, and let this angel pick me. I carried the stone with me on my walks, it rested on my night stand when I slept and I held it when I felt I needed it.
Every morning I set my intention for the stone and for my day. I cleansed it in the moon and sun light. I believe through the power of strong intention and accessing our life force energy and infusing this into my daily rituals, the Angel lite helped me to heal, both physically and emotionally. The wound healed very quickly and cleanly and though in this case the modern medical intervention was necessary, I do believe that the complementary intentions and stone work helped guide my body back to a place of strong health.
Crystals and stones can be a great addition to your daily meditations and healing process. Setting powerful intentions while using these can increase the energy. I typically say my intention aloud and I create a visual so that I can "see" my intentions coming to life. I believed in my intentions, the healing power of the stone and I believe in my body and its ability to respond.
Think of your intentions for today. What do you want to accomplish, do you have a concern you want some guidance on? When you awake in the morning think about how you would like your day to proceed, set your intentions and be grateful for what you receive. Pay attention to the subtle and maybe not so subtle, signs you receive from the universe.
