Clearing Space: Card Readings
I meditate every morning prior to starting my practice, it feeds my soul. I approach meditation the same way I would approach receiving and/or offering a tarot card reading and that is with an open heart and open mind. Sometimes I meditate on a specific concern or question I or a client may have, but often I allow spirit to send me where I need to be in my peaceful meditative state. This allows for a blank canvas, a clearing if you will for the energy flow necessary to provide healing and clarity for those who might seek my guidance.
To get the most from a card reading, it important for both the reader and the client to be as prepared as possible. Allowing for a state of mind that is open to both the expected and the unexpected … the painting of the blank canvas! Sometimes people have very direct questions and they seek only the answer to the question, which hopefully they receive. Yet I often find that there is so much more information offered in my connections and readings, I have more to offer than just the answer.
How do you, the client, clear space? Under the best of circumstances with a few minutes of free time prior to your reading:
- Reflect on your question, area of interest and/or person of interest. Spend some time in meditation, quiet thought or prayer about what you truly are seeking from your reading experience. Allow yourself to see, hear and feel …truly experience this time in reflection
- Keep an open mind about receiving information from spirit and your angels. Your question(s) should be answered of course, yet you might also receive something you were not expecting and at that moment doesn’t seem clear.
- Be prepared to take notes as it is often within these unexpected messages we become enlightened.
Our angels will come through in a reading and provide messages we need to hear, expected or not! A recent meditation of mine brought me face to face with an elephant. She flicked at me with her trunk and then turned and flicked me with her tail encouraging me to follow her, which of course I did. She led me to a place of comfort for me, a place that holds a lot of cherished memories and love. A person whom I love very much was standing there waiting for me.
Typically before my work day my meditation does not lead me down a path to personal moments like this, yet after some reflection I began to understand why. I needed to make the connection with this person in meditation to recognize that we needed to make this connection in the physical realm and life. This connection provided release, healthy release and helped me to clear my canvas. Something I feel we all need on a regular basis.
Stay focused on what you want, yet remain open to the unexpected insight! ~Blessings
